Erin Brockovich Launches Crowdsourced Map of US Data Centers and Their Impacts

Environmental activist Erin Brockovich has published an interactive map tracking data center development across the United States, paired with a public reporting form for residents to document local impacts. The map currently catalogs 33 operational sites, 44 under construction, and 27 proposed, alongside more than 2,700 community-submitted reports.

The project frames the AI infrastructure buildout as a town-by-town conflict, with some communities embracing data centers while others stall or reject them outright.
